I'm a bad blogger.

To tell you the truth I'm not so sure about this blogging thing anymore. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to follow along with all of your stories but I just am so lazy when it comes to my own. I'm also really busy chasing after moses who is now moving along all of the furniture and has started to even let go and stand for a few seconds at a time. Let's just say he is busy. If you open the fridge he is suddenly in it grabbing things. If you open the front door, he's out of the house.

Uploading photos seems like too much work. In fact, filling out name change forms, getting documents notarized and completing his citizenship also seems like WAY too much work! I started this blog to track the adoption process and be an advocate for adoption. I just feel like I may bore you with photos now..... Hm.... what to do. Part of me is thinking of stopping until adoption number two but maybe you guys want pictures???

Okay, okay... I'll leave you with a few : )

This is from mother's day.

All eyes on baby.

Discovering the toilet paper roll.

Fun times in the backyard!

Honestly, I think my other issue is that I can't express in words this whole experience of being a mom. Of how much I love him and of how completely and utterly exhausting and difficult it is taking care of him! Maybe if he slept more than 2 hours straight consistently I would be more motivated to post!

Okay, here's two more from his first time at the water park.

Bad Blogger. Good Mother.

We understand - you have different priorities now, as you should. I love seeing the pictures and hearing from you whenever you get the chance. I hope you keep blogging.

way to go snook; good post! I like reading about how you're doing and seeing pics, but don't worry if you only post once a month or whatever :)
motherhood is crazy!!! and I definitely think the sleep deprivation kills your creativity. you're doing a great job as a mom, and that's what counts!

You know what Em, couldn't agree more with everyone else, the thing about blogging is some times you can do lots and sometimes you can squeeze only one simple blog in, the other great thing is that your blogs are so fun and personal, that even though you think you should do more, less is more, it makes reading your next one so intense and the anticipation is so exciting and you always come through with a great update and beautiful photos!

Motherhood is exhausting and until you experience it YOU HAVE NO IDEA.

BTW Moses is SOOO going to walk before a year! Crazy baby, doesn't he know he has to be little not a big boy! Take care and give Moses a hug!

He is beautiful! I also love to see the pictures and hear about your adventures when possible - number of posts isn't important as we all know how busy you must be!

No need to post regularly, just share pictures of your beautiful boy every now and then. :) But I enjoy your words very much too. I've read your arrival home post a whole bunch of times. The last bit still chokes me up.

Nice to see you're doing well. Hint on the toilet paper -- hang it so it unrolls on the wall size. He can still grab and pull, but if he hits it to see it spin around it'll roll up. Glad you are enjoying this new phase in life.

I know we don't know each other and I hope this doesn't freak you out - but your blog is one I discovered in the midst of our adoption process. I was trying to find some Ethiopian blogs to follow, and I found yours and have been enjoying your posts. My husband and I are early on in the adoption process and intend on starting up an adoption blog soon, but I've been blogging for a few years now on my own, as I love to write.

I'll continue to check occasionally. It's inspiring to see the end result. When you're at the beginning of the process, it's nice to see how it's worked out for others.

You are so blessed! Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Hi, you don't know me, but I recently started reading your blog. We have a toddler at home too, whom we adopted from Ethiopia. I just started my blog recently and thought "Am I crazy... Do I have time for this with a busy toddler?" But I thought I would, even if it means just a short update with a few photos now and then. That's what most people want to see anyways. Hope you continue blogging. All the best with parenting!

Please don't go. i love your blog. He is the cutest thing ever. Dont' worry about how often you post. Looking at life after the process is motivating - it really is.
PS - your mum's hair is beautiful.

I hope you don't give up blogging entirely. Although I do understand the exhaustion that comes with parenting! It's nice to be able to follow the developments of all the little ones I've grown fond of.
I'm sorry that we aren't able to make it to the picnic this year, I'm just too busy at work. I'll be on mat. leave again soon and so will have lots of free time! (HA RIGHT!) But Grant and I would like to make a long weekend over to "the big city" in the fall. I'd love to see Sofia & Moses play together.
