Christmas 2008 to Christmas 2009.

Last year you were a care-package under our tree... a picture that we stared at.

And who were we? I look at this picture and think who was this person who slept all night long and had hours and hours of time on her hands??? I can remember this day well. It was Christmas day at Mike's parents and all I could think about was our court date the following day. If you read my blog last year, you would remember I had that Mariah Carey "All I want for Christmas Is You" song playing on repeat! The words were so true, I couldn't care about anything else other than making Samuel legally our son.

This year my heart is so full. Our lives are busy and filled with joy because of Moses. This year I was driving around Christmas shopping and the good ol' Mariah song came on the radio. I looked in my rear view mirror and couldn't feel happier seeing his face. I am just so thankful to be his mom.

Merry Christmas to all! I know it is not an easy Christmas for many of you waiting to bring your children home. My thoughts are with all of you (A&C, R&Y, H, C&D, C&L). Just know that it will happen and you will be able to reflect back on these years and likely appreciate every moment with your child so much more because of it.

What a beautiful, happy, peace-filled post. Emily, your words remind me that I will eventually be in the place you are!

I was shopping at The Bay the other day, and that song came on the speaker - I pulled out my iPhone to stare at Biset's picture and sing to her as I walked around the store(I am such a freak).

What a wonderful Christmas for your family. Moses is such a lovely boy. You are blessed.

So many changes in so little time. Despite the sleepless nights, teething, and crankiness, children are SO worth it! I wouldn't wish for it any other way :)

Merry Christmas to you, Mike and Mosey! Enjoy his first Christmas home.

Love ya! xoxo

I am so glad you had a lovely Christmas. I remember us all going for lunch last year in Fort Langley, and you anxiously awaiting your court date. I was so thrilled when you finally brought Mosey home! Who knew what would happen in the summer? I figured we'd have our referral and be a few months away from having our daughter home. Here's hoping next Christmas, I can write a similar post to yours today!
Thanks, Em!
